Named and Shamed

Following is a scrolling menu of the people who are in authority and are supposed to purvey a statuary Duty of Care to the public but do the complete opposite. They are aware of blanket illegal pavement parking across Portwood including the criminal act of 'wilful obstruction without legal authority' of which there are twelve+ daily on Vernon Mill side of Mersey Street. Any quotes stated below are either verbatim and are a matter of public record or are observations drawn from comments, or indeed silence, by the attributee. No spin, just facts.

Attention must be drawn to event that W/C 31st March 2008. Travellers had moved on to derelict land on the site of a demolished hospital in the town centre. The police were called and decided that they were causing an obstruction and promptly forced them to move. This is the same town centre where only a two minute drive away from where the travellers were, there is a daily influx of criminal commuters who encamp on the Vernon Mill side pavement of Mersey Street, Portwood. The police and Stockport MBC, in this case, have shown favour and affection towards criminal commuters and malice and ill-will towards the travellers.

Some in society would view this discrimination against the travellers as racism.

The latest person to be inducted to  the Scroll of Shame is the new leader of the now re-named police team Neighbourhood, Partnership & Criminal Justice, Chief Inspector Andy Harty. He is proving to be as listless as his predecessors in dealing with intelligence led information apropos criminal commuters completely blocking the pavements of Portwood.

Send in the Clowns was a classic song don't you think?
